Fendi Casa & Benetti Team Up to Create a Stunning Superyacht Interior

Fendi has long held its world status as the stuff fashionista dreams are made of. Recently, the coveted Italian designer is set its vision at sea with a first of its kind megayacht that showcases Fendi's distinctive aesthetic from bow to stern.

In its first-ever foray into the realm of sea-faring, Fendi Casa, the brand's home-furnishing division, teamed up with Italian yacht maker Benetti and design firm Studio Massari to deliver Lady Lara - a 194-foot custom megayacht, whose style-minded owner has commissioned the entire interior to be done up in elaborate Fendi fashion.

Fendi's signature style makes its mark on each detail of the vessel's opulent interiors, down to lamps in the shape of the brand's double F logo and door handles evoking fasteners on the designer's iconic Spy bags. The theme is one of simple geometric lines set off by luxe materials and eloquent styling. A rich interplay of textures and tones prevails in the juxtaposition of leathers - gold iguana, gold crocodile, and Galuchat skins in the main salon, satin-finished woods, and plush carpets. Soothing creams and soft whites envelop the living areas, accented by warm gold finishes, while modern detail such as the cut glass and crystal chandelier adds a lighter touch.

Six exquisitely appointed cabins, including two VIP suites, comfortably host up to 12 people aboard. The elegant owner's study leads into the expansive and serene master's cabin; from there, a staircase rises up to the 'relaxation room' where an intimate arrangement of curving settees invites hours of lounging along the 270-degree, wrap-around windows that open up views of the sea.

The upper deck centers around the sky lounge, a gathering spot for entertainment that takes on a more futuristic direction with a sleek silver-hued thematic. A bar, two televisions, and playing table are coated in Fendi crocodile leather, alongside low-slung, angular seating to facilitate long evenings of games and conversation.

The yacht's outdoor spaces, styled by long-standing Benetti designer Stefano Natucci, are no less decadent than the indoors. Several lounge areas offer plenty of opportunity for sun-worshipping and sunset-gazing. A Jacuzzi and gymnasium are situated towards the bow, and a vast sun bed, featuring sumptuous Fendi Casa fur linens, graces the sundeck at aft. With performance to match the looks, the Lady Lara is encased in a steel hull and aluminum superstructure that can cruise at an invigorating 15 knots, courtesy of dual 12-cylinder MTU engines.
